The Hangover crew heads to Thailand for Stu's wedding. After the disaster of a bachelor party in Las Vegas last year, Stu is playing it safe with a mellow pre-wedding brunch. However, nothing goes as planned and Bangkok is the perfect setting for another adventure with the rowdy group.
What critics thought
Critics largely dismissed The Hangover Part II as a shameless retread of the original, transplanted to Bangkok with little beyond a change of scenery to justify its existence. The raunchy gags still generate some laughs, but the absence of the first film's surprise and invention left most reviewers cold, and a handful of creative choices — including a recreation of an infamous Vietnam War execution photograph — drew pointed criticism of their own.
