What critics thought
Critics landed in mixed territory on this remake, acknowledging that Statham and Foster deliver serviceable work while finding the film itself too derivative and noisy to justify the exercise. The action is competently staged but largely mechanical, doing little to distinguish itself from the genre's least demanding entries.
