Live Free or Die Hard

John McClane is back and badder than ever, and this time he calls on the services of a young hacker in his bid to stop a ring of Internet terrorists intent on taking control of America's computer infrastructure.

The fourth Die Hard entry lands as a broadly enjoyable but deliberately preposterous summer action film, with Willis comfortable in a role he clearly owns. Critics were fairly warm overall, though the gap between enthusiasts who called it the best of the sequels and detractors who found its escalating absurdity a bridge too far is the real story here.
