Black Widow

Natasha Romanoff, also known as Black Widow, confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.

Generally well-received but not without reservation, the film earns most of its goodwill from Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh's chemistry and a more grounded, espionage-thriller tone than most MCU entries. The central tension in reviews is whether a solo film arriving after Romanoff's death in Endgame can feel like anything other than an overdue footnote — admirers say it stands on its own, skeptics say it doesn't.
