A breezy, lower-stakes Marvel entry that most critics welcomed as a tonal corrective after the grimness of Infinity War, with Paul Rudd's charm and inventive shrinking-and-growing action earning consistent praise. The main fault line was whether the film's lightness amounts to genuine wit or agreeable emptiness — and whether its crowded subplot structure and underuse of Michelle Pfeiffer are acceptable trade-offs for the fun it delivers.
